अथैको ब्राह्मणः प्राह चंडशर्मेति विश्रुतः । मया स्कांदपुराणेऽस्मिन्पुरश्चरणसंश्रिता
athaiko brāhmaṇaḥ prāha caṃḍaśarmeti viśrutaḥ | mayā skāṃdapurāṇe'sminpuraścaraṇasaṃśritā
அப்போது ‘சண்டசர்மன்’ எனப் புகழ்பெற்ற ஒரு பிராமணன் கூறினான்—‘இந்த ஸ்கந்த புராணத்தில் புரஸ்சரணத்துடன் தொடர்புடைய விதியை நான் ஆதரித்துள்ளேன்।’
