अलक्तको यथा रक्तो नरः कामी तथैव च । हृतसारस्तथा सोऽपि पादमूले निपा त्यते
alaktako yathā rakto naraḥ kāmī tathaiva ca | hṛtasārastathā so'pi pādamūle nipā tyate
அலத்தகச் சாயம் பூசினால் மனிதன் சிவப்பாகத் தோன்றுவது போல, காமத்தில் மூழ்கியவன் காமரசத்தால் நிறமடைகிறான். அவன் உள்ளார்ந்த சாரம் கவரப்பட்டு, அந்த ஆசையின் பாதமூலத்தில் வீழ்கிறான்।
