यथायथा स कौतुक्याद्वीक्षते यौवनाश्रितः । कौतुक्यात्तेन च ततस्तस्या वक्त्रं निरीक्षितम्
yathāyathā sa kautukyādvīkṣate yauvanāśritaḥ | kautukyāttena ca tatastasyā vaktraṃ nirīkṣitam
இளமையின் வேகத்தை ‘ஆர்வம்’ எனும் போர்வையில் மறைத்து அவன் மேலும் மேலும் நோக்கினான்; அதே ஆர்வத்தின் பெயராலே பின்னர் அவளுடைய முகத்தையும் உற்றுநோக்கினான்।
