अधोवक्त्रेण भोक्तव्यं त्वया वीक्ष्या न मे प्रिया । नो चेद्विडंबनां विप्र संप्राप्स्यसि न संशयः
adhovaktreṇa bhoktavyaṃ tvayā vīkṣyā na me priyā | no cedviḍaṃbanāṃ vipra saṃprāpsyasi na saṃśayaḥ
‘நீ முகத்தைத் தாழ்த்தி வைத்தே உணவு உண்ண வேண்டும்; என் அன்புப் மனைவியை நோக்கக் கூடாது. இல்லையெனில், ஓ விப்ரரே, நிச்சயமாக அவமானத்தை அடைவாய்.’
