udyānaśatasaṃkīrṇaṃ taḍāgairupaśobhitam | tatrāsītpārthivaśreṣṭhaścitravarmeti viśrutaḥ

Translation

அந்நகரம் நூற்றுக்கணக்கான பூங்காக்களால் நிறைந்ததும், குளங்கள் மற்றும் ஏரிகளால் மேலும் அழகுபெற்றதும் ஆக இருந்தது. அங்கே ‘சித்ரவர்மன்’ எனப் புகழ்பெற்ற சிறந்த அரசன் ஆட்சி செய்தான்।
