सूत उवाच । ततः स कथयामास पूर्वजातिसमुद्भवम् । वृत्तांतं तन्मुनींद्राणां तेषां ब्राह्मणसत्तमाः
sūta uvāca | tataḥ sa kathayāmāsa pūrvajātisamudbhavam | vṛttāṃtaṃ tanmunīṃdrāṇāṃ teṣāṃ brāhmaṇasattamāḥ
சூதர் கூறினார்—அப்போது, ஓ பிராமணரில் சிறந்தவர்களே, அவன் முன்பிறவியிலிருந்து எழுந்த அந்த நிகழ்வை உரைக்கத் தொடங்கினான்—அந்த முனிவராதிபதிகளைப் பற்றிய முழு வரலாற்றையும்.
