सूत उवाच । एतद्वः सर्वमाख्यातं यत्पृष्टोस्मि द्विजोत्तमाः । यथा स निहतो देव्या महिषाख्यो दनूत्तमः
sūta uvāca | etadvaḥ sarvamākhyātaṃ yatpṛṣṭosmi dvijottamāḥ | yathā sa nihato devyā mahiṣākhyo danūttamaḥ
சூதர் கூறினார்—ஓ இருபிறப்பினருள் சிறந்தவர்களே, நீங்கள் கேட்ட அனைத்தையும் நான் உரைத்தேன்—மஹிஷன் எனும் தானவர்களில் முதன்மையானவன் தேவியால் எவ்வாறு வதம் செய்யப்பட்டான் என்பதையும்।
