हा वत्स मां परित्यज्य किं त्वं संप्रस्थितो दिवम् । प्राणेष्टं भ्रातरं श्रेष्ठं सदा तव मते स्थितम्
hā vatsa māṃ parityajya kiṃ tvaṃ saṃprasthito divam | prāṇeṣṭaṃ bhrātaraṃ śreṣṭhaṃ sadā tava mate sthitam
அய்யோ பிள்ளையே! என்னை விட்டுவிட்டு நீ ஏன் விண்ணுலகத்திற்குப் புறப்பட்டாய்? என் உயிர்க்கினிய சிறந்த சகோதரனே—நீ எப்போதும் உன் உறுதியில் நிலைத்திருந்தாய்।
