तदा कृतो महेशेन पार्षदो हि महात्मना । चंडो नाम्नाच विख्यातोमुण्डस्य च सखा प्रियः
tadā kṛto maheśena pārṣado hi mahātmanā | caṃḍo nāmnāca vikhyātomuṇḍasya ca sakhā priyaḥ
அப்போது மகாத்மா மகேசன் அவனைத் தன் பார்ஷத-கணமாக ஆக்கினார். அவன் ‘சண்டன்’ என்ற பெயரால் புகழ்பெற்று, முண்டனின் அன்புச் சிநேகிதனுமாயினான்।
