दास्यामि जीवनं वीर कुटिलस्यापि चाधुना । एवमुक्तः शंकरेण वीरभद्रोऽब्रवीत्पुनः
dāsyāmi jīvanaṃ vīra kuṭilasyāpi cādhunā | evamuktaḥ śaṃkareṇa vīrabhadro'bravītpunaḥ
சிவன் கூறினான்—“வீரனே, இப்போது இந்தக் கபடனுக்கும் உயிர் அளிப்பேன்.” என்று சங்கரன் சொன்னபின் வீரபத்ரன் மீண்டும் பதிலளித்தான்.
