द्रव्यं मंत्रादिकं सर्वं हव्यं कव्यं च यन्मयम् । विना तेन कृतं सर्वमपवित्रं भविष्यति
dravyaṃ maṃtrādikaṃ sarvaṃ havyaṃ kavyaṃ ca yanmayam | vinā tena kṛtaṃ sarvamapavitraṃ bhaviṣyati
திரவியம், மந்திரம் முதலிய அனைத்தும்; தேவர்க்கு ஹவ்யமும் பித்ருக்களுக்கு கவ்யமும்—அனைத்தும் அவருடைய இயல்பே. அவரின்றி செய்யப்படுவது அனைத்தும் அசுத்தமாகும்.
