जातस्य हि ध्रुवो मृत्युरेतज्जानीहि तत्त्वतः । प्रहस्य तारकः प्राह अजेयत्वं च देहि मे
jātasya hi dhruvo mṛtyuretajjānīhi tattvataḥ | prahasya tārakaḥ prāha ajeyatvaṃ ca dehi me
“பிறந்தவனுக்கு மரணம் நிச்சயம்— இதை உண்மையாக அறிந்துகொள்.” பின்னர் தாரகன் சிரித்து கூறினான்— “எனக்கு அஜேயத்தையும் அருளுங்கள்.”
