स च जानन्मुनिः पत्नीं पात्रभूतामविश्वसन् । स्त्रीचरित्रविदंके तां विधाय स्वपिति द्विजः
sa ca jānanmuniḥ patnīṃ pātrabhūtāmaviśvasan | strīcaritravidaṃke tāṃ vidhāya svapiti dvijaḥ
முனிவர் தம் மனைவி தகுதியானவள் என அறிந்திருந்தும் முழுமையாக நம்பவில்லை. உலகியலறிந்த அந்த இருபிறப்பான் அவளைத் தன் மடியில் வைத்துக் கொண்டு உறங்கினான்.
