देव्युवाच । अहं च रक्षयिष्यामि स्वभक्तं कृष्णमृत्युतः । यस्माच्च चंडिकाकृत्ये कृतोऽनेन महारणः । तस्माच्चंडिलनाम्नायं विश्वपूज्यो भविष्यति
devyuvāca | ahaṃ ca rakṣayiṣyāmi svabhaktaṃ kṛṣṇamṛtyutaḥ | yasmācca caṃḍikākṛtye kṛto'nena mahāraṇaḥ | tasmāccaṃḍilanāmnāyaṃ viśvapūjyo bhaviṣyati
தேவி கூறினாள்: “நானும் என் பக்தன் கிருஷ்ணனை மரணத்திலிருந்து காப்பேன். மேலும் சண்டிகையின் பணியில் இவன் மாபெரும் போரை நிகழ்த்தியதால், ‘சண்டில’ என்ற நாமத்தில் உலகமெங்கும் புகழ்பெற்று வணங்கப்படுவான்.”
