मामुवाच सदा पुत्र पितॄणां भक्तिकृद्भव । सोऽहं मातुर्वचः श्रुत्वा मेरुपादात्समागतः
māmuvāca sadā putra pitṝṇāṃ bhaktikṛdbhava | so'haṃ māturvacaḥ śrutvā merupādātsamāgataḥ
அவள் எப்போதும் என்னிடம் சொல்வாள்—“மகனே, பித்ருக்களுக்கு பக்தியுடையவனாக இரு.” ஆகவே தாயின் வார்த்தையை கேட்டுத், மேருவின் அடிவாரத்திலிருந்து இங்கே வந்தேன்.
