बाह्यानामांतराणां वा विना तं तृणवद्विदुः । इंद्रियाणि निगृह्यैव दुष्टानीति निपीडयेत्
bāhyānāmāṃtarāṇāṃ vā vinā taṃ tṛṇavadviduḥ | iṃdriyāṇi nigṛhyaiva duṣṭānīti nipīḍayet
அத்தத்துவத்தை அடக்காமல் இருந்தால் வெளிப்புறமும் உள்ளுறமும் உள்ள அனைத்தும் புல்லைப் போலத் துச்சமென அறியப்படும். ஆகவே இந்திரியங்களை கட்டுப்படுத்தி தீய வృத்திகளை வலியுடன் அடக்க வேண்டும்.
