तृष्णा हि सर्वपापिष्ठा नित्योद्वेगकरी मता । अधर्मबहुला चैव घोररूपानुबंधिनी
tṛṣṇā hi sarvapāpiṣṭhā nityodvegakarī matā | adharmabahulā caiva ghorarūpānubaṃdhinī
தೃಷ்ணை எல்லாப் பாவங்களிலும் மிகப் பாவமிகுந்ததாகக் கருதப்படுகிறது; அது எப்போதும் கலக்கத்தை உண்டாக்கும். அது அதர்மம் நிறைந்தது; அதன் பின்பு கொடிய விளைவுகள் தொடரும்.
