स्नेहात्करणरागश्च प्रजज्ञे वैषयस्तथा । अश्रेयस्कावुभावतौ पूर्वस्तत्र गुरुः स्मृतः
snehātkaraṇarāgaśca prajajñe vaiṣayastathā | aśreyaskāvubhāvatau pūrvastatra guruḥ smṛtaḥ
ஸ்நேஹத்தினால் இந்திரிய ராகம் உண்டாகிறது; அதனாலேயே விஷயக் காமமும் எழுகிறது. இவ்விரண்டும் அச்ரேயத்தின் காரணங்கள்; இதில் முதன்மைத் தூண்டியாக ஸ்நேஹமே நினைக்கப்படுகிறது.
