श्रोता चाप्यथ वक्तारं तदा वाक्यं न रोहति । अथ यः स्वप्रियं ब्रूयाच्छ्रोतुर्वोत्सृज्ययदृतम्
śrotā cāpyatha vaktāraṃ tadā vākyaṃ na rohati | atha yaḥ svapriyaṃ brūyācchroturvotsṛjyayadṛtam
கேட்பவரும் பேச்சாளரை அவமதித்தால் அந்தச் சொல் மனத்தில் வேரூன்றாது. அதுபோல, கேட்பவர்க்கு நன்மையான உண்மையை விட்டுவிட்டு தன் விருப்பமானதையே சொல்வவன்,
