ततस्त्वेवं वर्ततोऽस्य नंदभद्रस्य धीमतः । एकोऽभूत्तयः कष्टाद्वार्धिके सोऽप्यनश्यत
tatastvevaṃ vartato'sya naṃdabhadrasya dhīmataḥ | eko'bhūttayaḥ kaṣṭādvārdhike so'pyanaśyata
பின்னர் இவ்வாறு வாழ்ந்து வந்த ஞானமிக்க நந்தபத்ரனுக்கு ஒரு மகன் பிறந்தான்; ஆனால் துரதிர்ஷ்டவசமாக அந்தக் குழந்தையும் இளமையிலேயே அழிந்தது.
