साधूनां वर्णिनां राजा न शिरस्कं प्रदापयेत् । न प्रवातेधटं देयं नोष्णकाले हुताशनम्

Transliteration

sādhūnāṃ varṇināṃ rājā na śiraskaṃ pradāpayet | na pravātedhaṭaṃ deyaṃ noṣṇakāle hutāśanam

Translation

நல்லொழுக்கமுடைய வர்ணினர்களுக்காக அரசன் ‘சிரம்’ (தலை) அளிக்கச் செய்யக்கூடாது. காற்று வீசும் இடத்தில் ‘தட’ அர்ப்பணம் செய்ய வேண்டாம்; மிகுந்த வெப்பக் காலத்தில் ஹோமமும் செய்ய வேண்டாம்.
