ततो यज्ञोपवीतं दद्यात् अनेन मंत्रेण । सूत्रतंतुमयं शुद्धं पवित्रमिदमुत्तमम् । यज्ञोपवीतं देवेश प्रगृहाण नमोऽस्तु ते
tato yajñopavītaṃ dadyāt anena maṃtreṇa | sūtrataṃtumayaṃ śuddhaṃ pavitramidamuttamam | yajñopavītaṃ deveśa pragṛhāṇa namo'stu te
பின்னர் இம்மந்திரத்தால் யஜ்ஞோபவீதத்தை அர்ப்பணிக்க வேண்டும்—‘தூய நூல்தந்துக்களால் ஆன இந்த உத்தமமான, மிகப் புனிதமான யஜ்ஞோபவீதம்; ஹே தேவேசா! ஏற்றருள்வாயாக; உமக்கு நமஸ்காரம்.’
