उत्तरीयं च संदध्याद्विना तन्निष्फलार्चनम् । भस्मत्रिपुण्ड्रधारी च ललाटे हृति चांसयोः
uttarīyaṃ ca saṃdadhyādvinā tanniṣphalārcanam | bhasmatripuṇḍradhārī ca lalāṭe hṛti cāṃsayoḥ
உத்தரீயம் (மேலாடை) அணிய வேண்டும்; அது இல்லையெனில் அர்ச்சனை பயனற்றதாகும். பஸ்மத் திரிபுண்ட்ரம் தரித்து நெற்றி, மார்பு, இரு தோள்களில் அணிய வேண்டும்.
