darśanaṃ stavanaṃ pūjā praṇāmaśca tato japaḥ | dānaṃ cātra kṛtaṃ liṃge mamātitṛptikāraṇam
Śiva (implied by 'my satisfaction') as reported by Sūta (deduced)
Tirtha: Liṅga-sthāna ‘atra’ (here)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Devas (immediate) and sages (outer frame)
Scene: A sequential tableau around a liṅga: devotee first gazes, then sings hymns, offers flowers and bilva, prostrates, sits in japa, and finally gives alms—Śiva’s presence felt as a luminous satisfaction.
Śiva is pleased by integrated devotion—reverent encounter, praise, worship, humility, mantra, and generosity.
The liṅga-site (‘atra … liṅge’) is exalted as a potent locus where devotional acts yield heightened merit and divine pleasure.
Darśana, stavana, pūjā, praṇāma, japa, and dāna directed to/at the liṅga.
