मातः स्वसरथो पुत्रि आर्येति च वदेद्बुधः । उचछिष्टो नालभेत्किंचिन्न च सूर्यं विलोकयेत्
mātaḥ svasaratho putri āryeti ca vadedbudhaḥ | ucachiṣṭo nālabhetkiṃcinna ca sūryaṃ vilokayet
அறிவுடையவன் (பெண்களை) ‘அம்மா’, ‘அக்கா/தங்கை’, ‘மகளே’, ‘ஆர்யையே’ என்று மரியாதையுடன் அழைக்க வேண்டும். உச்சிஷ்ட நிலையில் எதையும் தொடக்கூடாது; சூரியனை நோக்கிப் பார்ப்பதும் கூடாது।
