इति संचिंत्य बिल्वस्य वृक्षस्याधो व्यवस्थितः । जजाप मन्त्रान्रुद्रस्य अंगुष्ठाग्रेण धिष्ठितः
iti saṃciṃtya bilvasya vṛkṣasyādho vyavasthitaḥ | jajāpa mantrānrudrasya aṃguṣṭhāgreṇa dhiṣṭhitaḥ
இவ்வாறு சிந்தித்து அவர் வில்வமரத்தின் கீழ் நிலைபெற்றார். பெருவிரல் நுனியை ஆதாரமாகக் கொண்டு ஒருமுகமாக இருந்து ருத்ர மந்திரங்களை ஜபித்தார்.
