तदधो नरकाः कोट्यो द्विकोट्योऽग्निस्ततो महान् । चत्वारिंशत्सहस्रैश्च तदधस्तम उच्यते

Transliteration

tadadho narakāḥ koṭyo dvikoṭyo'gnistato mahān | catvāriṃśatsahasraiśca tadadhastama ucyate

Translation

அதற்குக் கீழே கோடி கோடியான நரகங்கள் உள்ளன; அவற்றிற்குக் கீழே இரு கோடி அளவுடைய மாபெரும் அக்கினி உள்ளது. அதற்கும் கீழே மேலும் நாற்பதாயிரம் தூரத்தில் ‘தமஸ்’ எனப்படும் இருள் கூறப்படுகிறது.
