guhena nirmitaḥ kūpo gaṃgā tatra talodbhavā | māghasya ca caturdaśyāṃ kṛṣṇāyāṃ pitṛtarpaṇam

Translation

குகன் (ஸ்கந்தன்) அங்கே ஒரு கிணற்றை அமைத்தான்; அதன் அடியிலிருந்து கங்கை வெளிப்பட்டாள். மேலும் மாக மாதக் கிருஷ்ணபட்ச சதுர்தசியன்று அங்கே பித்ருத் தர்ப்பணம் செய்ய வேண்டும்।
