निःसृत्य जलकल्लोलपूर्विका स्कंदमाययौ । स च संताडितः शक्त्या विभिन्नहृदयोसुरः । नादयन्वसुधां सर्वां पपातायोमुखो मृतः
niḥsṛtya jalakallolapūrvikā skaṃdamāyayau | sa ca saṃtāḍitaḥ śaktyā vibhinnahṛdayosuraḥ | nādayanvasudhāṃ sarvāṃ papātāyomukho mṛtaḥ
நீரலைப் போல் பொங்கி எழுந்த அயோமுகன் ஸ்கந்தனை நோக்கி பாய்ந்தான். ஆனால் தெய்வீக சக்தியின் அடியால் அவன் இதயம் பிளந்தது; பூமியெங்கும் முழங்கச் செய்து அயோமுகன் விழுந்து உயிர்நீத்தான்.
