देवशर्मोवाच । एवं ते वदमानस्य आयुरस्तु शतं समाः । यदशक्यं महत्कर्म कर्तुमिच्छसि मत्कृते
devaśarmovāca | evaṃ te vadamānasya āyurastu śataṃ samāḥ | yadaśakyaṃ mahatkarma kartumicchasi matkṛte
தேவசர்மன் கூறினார்—நீ இவ்வாறு பேசுகின்றாய்; உனக்கு நூறு ஆண்டுகள் ஆயுள் உண்டாகுக. ஆனால் என் பொருட்டு இயலாததுபோல் தோன்றும் ஒரு மகத்தான காரியத்தைச் செய்ய விரும்புகிறாய்.
