किंचित्प्रार्थय दास्यामि प्राह विष्णुस्ततो वरम् । त्वयि भक्तिर्दृढा मेऽस्तु स च तद्दुर्लभं ददौ
kiṃcitprārthaya dāsyāmi prāha viṣṇustato varam | tvayi bhaktirdṛḍhā me'stu sa ca taddurlabhaṃ dadau
அப்போது விஷ்ணு கூறினார்—ஏதாவது வேண்டு; நான் வரம் அளிப்பேன். அவன்—உம்மீது என் பக்தி உறுதியாக இருக்கட்டும்—என்று வேண்டினான். விஷ்ணு அந்த அரிதான வரத்தை அருளினார்.
