तदस्याः किमहं दद्मि रवेर्दीपमिवाल्पकः । संचिंत्येति महादेव्या नाशिषं दत्तवानहम्
tadasyāḥ kimahaṃ dadmi raverdīpamivālpakaḥ | saṃciṃtyeti mahādevyā nāśiṣaṃ dattavānaham
நான் அவளுக்கு என்ன தர இயலும்—சூரியனுக்கு சிறு விளக்கை அர்ப்பணிப்பதுபோல்! என்று எண்ணி, மகாதேவிக்கு நான் எந்த ‘ஆசி’யும் அளிக்கவில்லை.
