निरुत्साहं रणे तस्मिन्गतयुद्धोत्सवोऽभवत् । ततो भ्रमत एवास्य चर्म उत्कृत्त्य भैरवम्
nirutsāhaṃ raṇe tasmingatayuddhotsavo'bhavat | tato bhramata evāsya carma utkṛttya bhairavam
அந்தப் போரில் அவன் உற்சாகம் இழந்து, போரின் இன்பரசம் மறைந்தது; அப்போது இன்னும் சுழன்றுகொண்டிருக்கையில் பைரவன் அவன் தோலை வெட்டிக் கொண்டான்.
