वज्रांग उवाच । आसुरो मेऽस्तु मा भावः शक्रराज्ये च मा रतिः । तपोधर्मरतिश्चास्तु वृणोम्येतत्पितामह
vajrāṃga uvāca | āsuro me'stu mā bhāvaḥ śakrarājye ca mā ratiḥ | tapodharmaratiścāstu vṛṇomyetatpitāmaha
வஜ்ராங்கன் கூறினான்—“எனக்குள் அசுரப் பண்பு தோன்றாதிருக்கட்டும்; இந்திரராஜ்யத்திலும் எனக்கு ஆசை இல்லாதிருக்கட்டும். தவமும் தர்மமும் என்பவற்றிலே என் விருப்பம் நிலைக்கட்டும்—பிதாமகனே, இதையே நான் தேர்கிறேன்।”
