पृथिव्यां सर्वतीर्थेषु स्नात्वा यत्फलमाप्यते । तन्महीसागरे प्रोक्तं कुमारस्य वचो यथा
pṛthivyāṃ sarvatīrtheṣu snātvā yatphalamāpyate | tanmahīsāgare proktaṃ kumārasya vaco yathā
பூமியிலுள்ள எல்லாத் தீர்த்தங்களிலும் நீராடினால் கிடைக்கும் பலன் எதுவோ, அதே புண்ணியம் மஹீசாகரத்தில் உண்டாகும் என்று—குமாரன் (ஸ்கந்தன்) வாக்கின்படி—சொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளது.
