महीनाम नदी च पृथिव्यां यानिकानिचित् । तीर्थानि तेषां सलिलसंभवं तज्जलं विदुः
mahīnāma nadī ca pṛthivyāṃ yānikānicit | tīrthāni teṣāṃ salilasaṃbhavaṃ tajjalaṃ viduḥ
பூமியில் உள்ள எந்தத் தீர்த்தங்களும், மேலும் ‘மஹீ’ எனும் நதியும்—அவற்றின் நீர் அனைத்தும் அந்தப் புனிதப் பெருக்கிலிருந்தே தோன்றியது என்று அறிக।
