ईश्वर उवाच । अजरामरता नास्ति नामरूपभृतोयतः । ममापि देहपातः स्यादवधिं कुरु जीविते
īśvara uvāca | ajarāmaratā nāsti nāmarūpabhṛtoyataḥ | mamāpi dehapātaḥ syādavadhiṃ kuru jīvite
ஈசுவரன் கூறினான்—“பெயரும் உருவமும் தாங்கிய உடலுடையோர்க்கு மூப்பும் மரணமும் அற்ற நிலை இல்லை. எனக்கும்கூட உடல் நீங்குதல் உண்டு; ஆகவே உன் வாழ்விற்கு ஒரு நிர்ணய எல்லையைத் தேர்ந்தெடு.”
