स्वार्थोद्युक्तधियो ये स्युरन्वर्थास्तेप्यसुंधराः । मरणं प्रकृतिश्चैव जीवितं विकृतिर्यदा
svārthodyuktadhiyo ye syuranvarthāstepyasuṃdharāḥ | maraṇaṃ prakṛtiścaiva jīvitaṃ vikṛtiryadā
சுயநலத்தில் மட்டும் மனம் ஈடுபட்டவர்கள் பெயருக்கு ‘உயிருடன்’ இருந்தாலும் உண்மையில் வாழ்வின் தாங்கிகள் அல்லர். மரணத்தை ‘இயல்பு’ எனக் கருதி, வாழ்வே விகாரமாக மாறும்போது மதிப்புகள் தலைகீழாகின்றன.
