उग्रश्रवा उवाच । श्रृणुध्वचत्यद्भुतपुण्यसत्कथं कुमारनाथस्य महाप्रभावम् । द्वैपायनो यन्मम चाह पूर्वं हर्षाबुरोमोद्गमचर्चितांगः
ugraśravā uvāca | śrṛṇudhvacatyadbhutapuṇyasatkathaṃ kumāranāthasya mahāprabhāvam | dvaipāyano yanmama cāha pūrvaṃ harṣāburomodgamacarcitāṃgaḥ
உக்ரச்ரவா (சூதர்) கூறினார்—குமாரநாதரின் மாபெரும் வல்லமையைப் பாடும் இந்த அதிசயமான, புண்ணியமான, நற்கதையை கேளுங்கள். முன்பு த்வைபாயனர் (வியாசர்) இதை எனக்குச் சொன்னார்; அப்போது என் உடல் முழுதும் ஆனந்த ரோமாஞ்சத்தால் குறியிடப்பட்டிருந்தது।
