अर्जुन उवाच । यदुक्तं करुणासारैः सारं किं तदिहोच्यताम् । धर्मार्थी मनुजो यश्च न स वार्यो महात्मभिः
arjuna uvāca | yaduktaṃ karuṇāsāraiḥ sāraṃ kiṃ tadihocyatām | dharmārthī manujo yaśca na sa vāryo mahātmabhiḥ
அர்ஜுனன் கூறினான்—“கருணையே சாரமாயுள்ள நீங்கள் சொன்னதின் உண்மையான சாரத்தை இங்கே எனக்குச் சொல்லுங்கள். தர்மத்தை நாடும் மனிதனை மகாத்மாக்கள் தடுக்கக் கூடாது.”
