स्कंद उवाच । शृण्वगस्त्य महाभाग भविष्यं कथयाम्यहम् । कृष्णद्वैपायनो व्यासोऽकथयद्यन्महद्वचः । निश्चिकेतुमनाः पश्चाद्यत्करिष्यति तच्छृणु
skaṃda uvāca | śṛṇvagastya mahābhāga bhaviṣyaṃ kathayāmyaham | kṛṣṇadvaipāyano vyāso'kathayadyanmahadvacaḥ | niściketumanāḥ paścādyatkariṣyati tacchṛṇu
ஸ்கந்தன் கூறினான்—மகாபாக்ய அகஸ்த்யரே, கேளுங்கள்; நான் வருங்காலத்தைச் சொல்கிறேன். கிருஷ்ணத்வைபாயன வியாசர் உரைத்த மகத்தான வாக்கை கேளுங்கள்; பின்னர் தீர்மானிக்க எண்ணி அவர் செய்யவிருப்பதையும் கேளுங்கள்.
