स्कंद उवाच । सर्वज्ञस्य कुमारत्वात्किंचित्किंचिदवैम्यहम् । रोदने कारणं वच्मि शृणु कुंभसमुद्भव
skaṃda uvāca | sarvajñasya kumāratvātkiṃcitkiṃcidavaimyaham | rodane kāraṇaṃ vacmi śṛṇu kuṃbhasamudbhava
ஸ்கந்தன் கூறினான்— அனைத்தறிவோன் பாலரூபம் கொண்டதால் நான் சிறிது சிறிதாகவே அறிகிறேன். ஆயினும் அந்த அழுகையின் காரணத்தைச் சொல்கிறேன்; ஓ கும்பசமுத்பவா, கேள்.
