सरिद्वरा निशम्येति रेवा प्राह महेश्वरम् । किं वरेणेह देवेश भृशं तुच्छेन धूर्जटे
saridvarā niśamyeti revā prāha maheśvaram | kiṃ vareṇeha deveśa bhṛśaṃ tucchena dhūrjaṭe
இதைக் கேட்ட நதிகளில் சிறந்த ரேவா மகேஸ்வரனை நோக்கி— “தேவேசா, தூర్జடீ! இங்கே இவ்வளவு அற்பமான வரம் எதற்கு?” என்று கூறினாள்.
