तथेति स प्रतिज्ञाय सर्वेषां पुरतोद्रिजे । मध्ये वनं प्राविशच्च महाचिंताभयार्दितः
tatheti sa pratijñāya sarveṣāṃ puratodrije | madhye vanaṃ prāviśacca mahāciṃtābhayārditaḥ
“அப்படியே ஆகட்டும்” என்று கூறி அவன் அனைவரின் முன்னும் உறுதி செய்தான்; பின்னர் பெருஞ்சிந்தையும் பயமும் வாட்ட, மலைப்பிறந்த நாட்டின் நடுவிலுள்ள காட்டில் நுழைந்தான்.
