सप्ताब्धिस्नानजं पुण्यं यत्र स्नात्वा नरो लभेत् । महोदधीति विख्यातं तीर्थं सप्ताब्धितीर्थतः
saptābdhisnānajaṃ puṇyaṃ yatra snātvā naro labhet | mahodadhīti vikhyātaṃ tīrthaṃ saptābdhitīrthataḥ
எங்கு நீராடிய மனிதன் ஏழு கடல்களில் நீராடியதற்குரிய புண்ணியத்தைப் பெறுகிறானோ, அந்தத் தீர்த்தம் ‘மஹோததி’ எனப் புகழ்பெற்றது; சப்தாப்தி தீர்த்தத்திற்குப் பின் உள்ளது.
