इति पत्नीवचः श्रुत्वा तथा स कृतवान्खगः । सपीडितो दृढं पादे श्येनश्चीत्कृतवान्बहु
iti patnīvacaḥ śrutvā tathā sa kṛtavānkhagaḥ | sapīḍito dṛḍhaṃ pāde śyenaścītkṛtavānbahu
மனைவியின் சொற்களை கேட்ட அந்தப் பறவை அப்படியே செய்தது. காலில் கடும் வலியால் பீடிக்கப்பட்ட அந்தச் சேனன் மீண்டும் மீண்டும் உரக்கக் கத்தினான்.
