स दुर्गो नितरां दुर्गो विबभौ समराजिरे । आयुधानां सहस्राणि बिभ्रत्कालांतकोपमः
sa durgo nitarāṃ durgo vibabhau samarājire | āyudhānāṃ sahasrāṇi bibhratkālāṃtakopamaḥ
போரின் ஒளிமிகு அரங்கில் அவன் மிகுந்த துர்ஜெயனாய்—உண்மையிலே ‘துர்கன்’ போல—தோன்றினான். ஆயிரம் ஆயுதங்களைத் தாங்கி, காலாந்தக் கோபம் போல் அச்சமூட்டினான்.
