कृत्वा श्राद्धं विधानेन ज्येष्ठस्थाने नरोत्तमः । ज्येष्ठां तृप्तिं ददात्येव पितृभ्यो मधुसर्पिषा
kṛtvā śrāddhaṃ vidhānena jyeṣṭhasthāne narottamaḥ | jyeṣṭhāṃ tṛptiṃ dadātyeva pitṛbhyo madhusarpiṣā
சிறந்த மனிதன் ஜ்யேஷ்டஸ்தானத்தில் விதிப்படி ஸ்ராத்தம் செய்தால், பித்ருக்களுக்கு தேன்-நெய் போன்ற ‘ஜ்யேஷ்ட திருப்தி’யை அளிக்கிறான்।
