कस्मै देया वरा कन्या सुरम्येयं सुलक्षणा । अस्या अनुगुणो लभ्यः क्व मया वर उत्तमः
kasmai deyā varā kanyā suramyeyaṃ sulakṣaṇā | asyā anuguṇo labhyaḥ kva mayā vara uttamaḥ
‘இத்தனை மனோஹரமும் சுலட்சணமும் கொண்ட இந்தச் சிறந்த கன்னியை யாருக்கு அளிப்பேன்? அவளுக்கு ஏற்ற உண்மையான உத்தம வரன் எனக்கு எங்கே கிடைப்பான்?’
