मार्तंड उवाच । मंदरं यदि याम्यद्य सद्यस्तत्क्रुद्ध्यतीश्वरः । अनिष्पादितकार्यार्थे मयि सामान्यभृत्यवत्

மார்த்தாண்டன் கூறினான்—“இன்று நான் மந்தரத்திற்கு சென்றால், பணி நிறைவேறாததால் ஈசன் உடனே கோபிப்பார்; என்னை சாதாரண பணியாளனைப் போல நடத்துவார்.”
